WHAT IS EYELASH TINTING?

An eyelash tint consists of adding a special dye to your eyelashes, giving you weeks of dark, full lashes without the assistance of mascara. You will be relaxed on a comfortable table, and I will prepare your lashes for the application of dye to your lashes while you keep your eyes closed for about 10-20 minutes.

CAN I TINT MY LASHES WITHOUT A LASH LIFT?

Yes! You will not have the benefit of the curl and perceived thickness achieved with a lash lift, but you will have darker lashes which will add a pop to your face at all times!

IF I HAVE VERY BLONDE OR RED LASHES, CAN YOU TINT MY BOTTOM LASHES TOO?

Absolutely. The process is similar to tinting your top lashes; I isolate the bottom lashes and apply the tint. There would be an extra charge of $15 applied to the procedure at checkout.

IS AN EYELASH TINT SAFE?

Yes! My eyelash tinting process uses vegetable dyes are created specifically to be used on eyelashes and the tinting formula itself is gentle for your lashes and eye area.

HOW LONG DOES AN EYELASH TINT LAST?

For most clients, the rich, beautiful color of your lash tint will last up to four weeks, assuming you have followed the aftercare instructions I provide to you at the end of your treatment.

HOW LONG DOES DOES IT TAKE TO HAVE AN EYELASH TINT?

The entire process, from start to finish, takes between 15 to 30 minutes. If you are already having an eyelash lift, the process will take 10 minutes as your lashes are already prepared for tinting.

HOW DO I PREPARE FOR A LASH TINT TREATMENT?

• Don’t wear makeup to the appointment

• Try not to wear waterproof mascara for a week before the treatment, because your eyes need to be perfectly clean and without any traces of mascara

• Shower beforehand – you shouldn’t get your lashes wet for 24 hours after the procedure, so showering might be impractical

• If you wear contact lenses, take them off and wear glasses instead

HOW IS A LASH TINT PERFORMED?

The eyelash tint treatment is a simple procedure that takes about 15-30 minutes and involves the following steps:

Step 1 – Consults and Cleaning

I will consult with you, discuss whether you’re prone to allergies, and we will select a color that compliments your hair and skin tone. I will then carefully clean your eye area, as your lashes need to be completely free of any makeup and skincare products, so even if you show up for the appointment without eye makeup, I will still clean your lashes. The objective is to remove any residues of any product on your lashes that might prevent the tint from penetrating the lashes.

 

Step 2 – Placing Pads onto Eyelids

Pads are placed on your lower eyelids, in order to protect them. I will ask you to close your eyes, and you’ll have to keep them closed until the procedure is over. I will then place a rod-shaped silicone pad onto the upper eyelids above the lash line, using a gentle adhesive.

 

Step 3 – Lashes Glued onto the Rod

Using a new and sterile mascara wand, I will brush your lashes upward and glue them onto the silicon rod.

Step 4 - Tinting 

Your lashes are then covered with a lash tint in a shade somewhat darker than your natural lashes. It stays on for the prescribed amount of time (depending on the type and brand – between 10-20 minutes usually).  The area is cleaned and you can open your eyes to see the new you!

WHAT DOES THE LASH TINT AFTERCARE ENTAIL?

Lash tint aftercare is not complicated nor very restrictive. For the first 24 hours, you will need to limit some activities but after that, you can continue with your normal daily routine.

These are the tips you need to follow:

​

• Don’t wear mascara for 24 hours after the treatment and avoid using waterproof mascara altogether

• Don’t get your lashes wet. Don’t shower for 24 hours (or if you really have to, make it quick).

• Avoid steamy rooms, such as saunas.

• Don’t apply any products on your lashes during that period

• Don’t touch your lashes

• Brush through your lashes from time to time

 

Treatment can be repeated as early as 3 weeks!
